Students learn the fundamentals of a wide array of media, including pencil, pen & ink, colored pencil, charcoal, pastels, acrylic, oil, watercolor and sculpture.  Students are encouraged to explore media that they are interested in and choose subject matter that they enjoy. A small classroom setting allows for students to learn at their own pace and receive unique, individualized instruction.

Students learn in different ways, which is why we believe in side-by-side instruction.  Students watch as the instructor demonstrates theory and techniques on a separate piece from their own. This way students are able to hear the techniques explained, watch as they are demonstrated, and then apply the knowledge hands-on with their own painting or drawing. The student is then able to take home a finished piece of artwork that they created themselves, building confidence and pride in their work.
